Our Team
Cortland (Brooks) Hendrick - Owner & Instructor, Eventers, Hunters/Jumpers, and Vaulting
Cortland grew up in Hunt Country Virginia. Her mother, an accomplished equestrian herself, had her showing in walk-trot classes on her 16-hand jumper at the age of four. So with her competitive career underway, she spent the rest of her childhood on the East Coast H/J circuits, did Vaulting on the national level, and later moved on to Eventing. Cornerstone Farms is for her the realization of a life-long dream. At 5'1 she specializes in training up award-winning pony hunters.

Emily Williamson - Instructor, New Rider Program & Show Team Captain
Emily not only captains the Cornerstone show team but runs our introductory riding program as a full-time student intern. She has been a part of the Cornerstone program since it's inception and is the proud owner of Sir Stanley, a 17+ hh Thoroughbred who brings home regular championships in H/J competition.
Abigail Leddy - Instructor, Bridge the Divide
Abi is a dressage rider who masquerades by day as a Washington University Medical School student. She is working on her doctorate in Physical Therapy. She brings tremendous depth to our Bridge the Divide program and hails from Dallas, TX. She is also the proud owner of Ringo, one of the cutest ponies in the barn!
David Hendrick - Owner and Director
David offices from the Farm, and can be found managing the books, fixing fences, taking care of horses and mucking stalls. As a bonafide "horse husband" he has long supported his wife in her love of equestrian sports.
David is also the director of Bridge the Divide, and our other charitable works. It is his desire to help make Cornerstone Farms a place for people to gather together and experience community. David has a Masters degree in Theology and infuses practical spirituality into the everyday work of the farm.

Tom Caniff - Stable Manager
Tom is our full-time Stable Manager here at Cornerstone. He is also the head Trinity Foundation supervisor for the working day program here for adults with developmental disabilities. An Illinois farm boy who is truly a jack-of-all-trades, he lives on site and is the "git-er-done" guy here at the farm. He manages the daily care of our horses and the facility with all its needs.
